Grandma used to let us use her Donkey to ride down to the valley from her house on top of our village "Byet Iba" just West of Nablus, She would tell the baker to give us fresh loafs of bread along the way. One time I was so excited to get the hot pita and smashed it so hard against my stomach till the steam exploded and singed my skin.
Long the way is this Fig Tree where you are allowed to pick whatever fresh and ripe figs you need.
Life was easy and simple.

Some days I wake up to the most haunting voice, the voice of passing clouds giving warning to those who would listen, about the day ahead, I avoid these warnings most of the time, but boy one day!

The Nobel Peace Medal, nice if you think that a persons accomplishments are not of one year or for a single job.
We must accept the amazing quality of Mr. Obama's unique approach to this country and it's relationship with the world and his insistence on replacing all the damage the previous administration has done to world relations. I think that alone is a task worthy of many Nobel's.

A Charming life! Someone said, I should tell about it, so I will start:

These two bedouin cousins where traveling the silk road, transporting salt, the desert was dry and hot, little to desire.
One turns to the other and says: "God I love Halva!"
The other turns with great interest and anticipation and asks: "have you ever had it?"
"No" the first one said, but a cousin of a friend did and he said "it was the best thing he ever had!"

The moral of the story is obvious, and that will be the foundation to all my posts. I hope you come along and add your stories to mine.
Saher.
